With 22 PhD students and post-docs from 15 different countries, the International Spring School “smart@workHuman Technology Cooperation” will take place at the Technische Universität Dresden from March 5 to 11, 2017. Within the field of human technology cooperation, smart@work will focus on how human beings can interact with machines and computers in future work scenarios. The goal is to facilitate cooperation between people and technology as partners on equal footing, and to benefit from their respective strengths. This requires the expertise of different research branches, which is reflected by the interdisciplinary organization team—of which we as Interactive Media Lab are a part.

We are happy to welcome three international outstanding experts as keynote speakers and guest to our Dresden Talks on Interaction & Visualization series:

• Sunday, March 5: Axel Platz (Siemens AG)
Designing the Future of Work – From Machine to Meaning
• Monday, March 6: Patrick Baudisch (Hasso Plattner Institute, Potsdam University)
Personal Fabrication in HCI: Trends and Challenges
• Thursday, March 9: Stephen Brewster (University of Glasgow)
New ways of interacting with mobile devices

During the Spring School, the participants will have a manifold mix of talks and workshop sessions during which they continuously work on a project in teams. On Saturday, March 11, the results of these project works will be publicly presented in the Makerspace of the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB).

We invite all those interested in how to be smart@work in the future to our public keynotes, talks, and presentations. For further information, please visit http://smartatwork.org.
